KEY PRESENTATION: Tricia Davis and JoAnn Kosai-eng, King County Roads, on Clear Zone Road Standards (~20 min for presentation, ~25 min for questions). This presentation is in response to our motion passed at the May 16 meeting: "The Vashon-Maury Community Council (V-MCC) calls on King County (KC) Department of Local Services (DLS) to present a community wide public briefing summarizing the KC Roads 'clear zone' program."  For more info on what is happening regarding the ‘clear zone’ program and its connection to Puget Sound Energy, please see this page on our website: https://www.v-mcc.org/pse-advisory-committee

VOTES 

• We will vote to request King County Councilmembers return to Vashon to hold a public forum on the proposed new zoning  regarding drug treatment centers and psychiatric hospitals
• We will vote on a motion to oppose Initiative 2117 
• We will vote on  Dr. Steven Nourse to be added to our board of directors

IMPORTANT: In order to vote, make, or amend a motion, you need to be a member of the Community Council. Membership is free, and there is no obligation to attend or donate. Go here to fill out the membership application. You must submit your application for membership by noon on Thursday, Aug 15 for it to get into the system in time for the meeting. And you MUST include your Vashon-Maury Island mailing address, or your membership will not be activated. Membership is only open to Island residents, so we need to know where you live on the Island.
